Football Honors
Siuslaw senior Will Johnson has swept top honors in the Far West League, being named both offensive and defensive player of the year. Johnson also earned first-team spots at wide receiver and defensive back, along with additional honors on special teams. Seven Vikings in all made the first team, including Tom Morgan, Bryce Franzoni, Collin Barnett, Owen Burtt, Jaxon Chiang and Jacob Mann. Jericho Lake earned second-team quarterback, with several Vikings receiving honorable mentions.
Soccer Honors
Siuslaw boys soccer has announced its all-league honors, with three Vikings earning first-team recognition. Kale Jensen led the way with 22 goals in 13 games, joined by Camden Linton and defender Joel Bates on the first team. Second-team selections include Sailor Jensen and Asher Borgnino, while Yair Brito Xilot and Ezra King received honorable mentions. Coaches praised the team’s strong work ethic and growth throughout the season.
Beaver Women Roll
Oregon State rolled past Utah State 71–52 as Tiara Bolden and Néné Sow each posted the first double-doubles of their careers. Bolden scored 23 points with 11 rebounds, while Sow added 11 points and 15 boards. The Beavers led from the start, pushing the advantage to 17 by the third quarter. Kennedie Shuler added 14 points and Jenna Villa scored 10 as OSU put four players in double figures. The Beavers host Colorado State on Friday at Gill Coliseum.
The Oregon Duck women are on the court this evening against Washington state in Pullman Washington.
