Cross Country Honors
Siuslaw has placed three sophomores on the 2025 OSAA 3A Boys All-State Cross Country Team released Friday. Henry Stone earned first team honors and was the only non-senior selected to that top group this year. Bentley Nelson was named to the second team, while Ezra King received third team recognition. Runners are placed on the All-State teams based on their finish at the state meet, with the top seven earning first team status. The Vikings won the 3A state title on November 8th at Lane Community College in Eugene.
Duck Women Improve to 5-0
Oregon opened its road schedule with an 86-59 win over Washington State at Beasley Coliseum, powered by a strong second half from the three-point line. The Ducks hit nine threes after halftime and were led by 22 points from Katie Fiso and 20 from Mia Jacobs. Oregon held Washington State to 28 percent shooting in the first half and closed the game on an 11-0 run to stay unbeaten at 5-0 to start the season.
