Ducks Defeat Huskies

The Oregon Ducks will be heading to the College Football Playoffs, but will not have a shot at repeating as Big10 champions. Wins by Ohio State and Indiana mean the Big10 will feature those two teams, but the Ducks decisive win on Saturday over Washington will mean a playoff birth for Oregon.  Oregon defeated Washington 26-14. A late interception by Dillon Thieneman sealed the win for the Ducks.

Smith Out At Michigan State

Former Oregon State Head Coach and OSU Alum Jonathan Smith received his pink slip over the weekend.  Smith had been the coach of Michigan State for the past two seasons. Reports say that Michigan State’s poor showing against ranked teams likely led to the decision.  Smith’s record was 9-15 and did not include 5 wins from last season that were vacated over recruiting violations conducted by the previous head coach Mel Tucker.

Duck Women Over Tigers

The Oregon Duck women improved to 9-0 in basketball defeating Auburn yesterday in Alabama.  Two Ducks accounted for 40 of their 58 points in the 58-53 win.  The lady Ducks will face Oregon State on Wednesday. The Oregon State Women lost to Virginia Tech on Saturday 78-67.

The Oregon Duck men will host USC tomorrow night. Pregame on KCST will be at 6:30.  The Oregon State Beaver men will host Vermont on Wednesday with a 6 o’clock pregame on KCFM.
