Viking Basketball
The Siuslaw Varsity Vikings fell to Waldport, 53 to 30, in a back-and-forth game Monday that featured seven lead changes. Waldport used a 10-point run after taking a 28–24 lead to pull away. Pearl Jensen led Siuslaw with eight points and hit two three-pointers, while Ryleigh Panschow paced the Vikings with nine rebounds in the loss.
The Siuslaw boys won their outing with Waldport 54-39.
Duck Players Honored
Four Oregon football players were named Associated Press All-Americans on Monday, the most in program history. Offensive lineman Emmanuel Pregnon earned first-team honors, while Kenyon Sadiq and Dillon Thieneman made the second team, and Iapani Laloulu was named to the third team. The fifth-ranked Ducks host James Madison Saturday in the College Football Playoff.
