Track and Field
The Siuslaw Vikings track and field team is preparing for the upcoming season with strong numbers and high expectations. Head coach Chris Johnson says the roster currently includes 43 boys and 30 girls as the team prepares for the annual Icebreaker meet March 19 at Hans Petersen Field. Both the boys and girls teams won district titles last season, with the boys also claiming the state championship. Senior Will Johnson has committed to continue his track and field career at Willamette University.
Duck Baseball
Oregon Duck baseball will begin a 3 game series against Purdue today. the Ducks will be in West Lafayette, Indiana for the series. gametime is 1pm today. Saturday’s game is at 11 and Sunday’s game at 9am. the games can be seen on the Big Plus network.
Duck Women’s Tournament Run
The Oregon Duck women will be on the court this evening to take on #8 Michigan in the Big10 tournament. a win for the Ducks would give the ladies a Big10 tournament championship.
Beaver Baseball
Today through Monday the Oregon State Beavers will begin a series with Xavier. The games will be played at Goss Stadium in Corvallis. Tonight’s game begins at 5:35. Saturday and Sunday’s games are at 3:05 and Monday will be at 5:35.
Men’s Hoops
Basketball on KCFM, the beavers enter the WCC tournament on Sunday with a pregame time of 5pm. The Ducks play tomorrow against Washington at 7:30 on KCST for their final regular-season game.
