Siuslaw Golf
Siuslaw sophomore Mason Wright led the Vikings at the Spartan Invitational, shooting an 84 Wednesday at Tokatee Golf Course. Senior Micah Blankenship followed with a 94 as Siuslaw placed seventh overall. On the girls side, freshman Lily Lewis carded a 122 to lead the Lady Vikings at the Bar Run tournament in Roseburg.
Duck/Beaver Rivalry
In Corvallis, No. 19 Oregon rallied past No. 6 Oregon State 7–3 Wednesday night at Goss Stadium. The Ducks scored all 7 runs over the final 4 innings, capitalizing on 3 Beaver errors, while using 10 pitchers to limit Oregon State to 3 runs. Easton Talt homered early for OSU, but Oregon took the series win on late offense and pitching depth.
College Baseball
This weekend the Beavers will be defending their home soil against Hawaii with three games beginning tomorrow at 5pm on KCFM. the Ducks will also be at home for three games against Penn State beginning at 6 pm tomorrow.
Vikings Sports
The Vikings will be in Winston today for a baseball and softball game against Douglas. Siuslaw Baseball will air on KCST beginning at 4:15 with a 4:30 first pitch.
Viking Freshman Torelan DeSantis won the triple Jump at yesterday’s special district JV meet at 35’8”. Makaia Snider place second in the Shot Put with a distance of 29’3” and Sophia Stymans took second in the Discus with a toss of 89’6”
