Track and Field Championships
Today marks the beginning of the special district 3A Track and Field Championships. Siuslaw Athlete will compete at Sutherlin High School with events beginning at 11:30 and going through the early evening. The meet will continue through Friday.
Tomorrow Mapleton High School will be at McKenzie High School for the 1A championships.
Big10 Tournament
The First round of the Big 10 tournament has been set with the Oregon Ducks facing the Washington Huskies tomorrow at 7pm local time.
Beaver Baseball
Oregon State appears to be in strong position for the NCAA Baseball Tournament, with most projections placing the Beavers in line to host a regional at Goss Stadium in Corvallis. If selected as a national seed, OSU could also host a Super Regional, with the winners advancing to the College World Series in Omaha. The NCAA Tournament field and official bracket pairings are expected to be announced on Selection Monday.
