Ems Take Game One
The Eugene Emeralds opened their road series in Tri-City with a 10-6 win over the Dust Devils. After falling behind 2-0 early, Eugene answered with 10 unanswered runs, including a two-run homer from Carlos Gutierrez and a big fourth inning that saw five runs cross the plate. Trevor Cohen added a triple and multiple RBIs as the Ems continued their strong offensive play against Tri-City this season. Eugene improves to 42-22 with two games left in the first half.
Autzen to Go Bananas
The hugely popular Savannah Bananas are bringing their “Banana Ball” tour to Autzen Stadium later this month. The Bananas and their rivals, the Party Animals, will play two games in Eugene on June 27th and 28th. The traveling show has drawn sellout crowds across the country with its mix of baseball, entertainment, and fan interaction, featuring unconventional rules and a fast-paced format. The stops in Eugene are part of a nationwide tour that’s turned the Bananas into one of the hottest tickets in sports entertainment this summer.
