College Football Practice Updates

Oregon football opened the second full week of preseason camp Monday as the Ducks prepare for their season opener against Boise State on September 5. Quarterbacks coach Koa Ka’ai said Oregon’s quarterbacks performed well in Saturday’s scrimmage, making good decisions with just one turnover on a batted ball. Ka’ai also praised returning starter Dante Moore’s maturity and focus, saying he effectively balances the attention that comes with his success while staying locked in on football. The Ducks are now less than three weeks from kickoff in Eugene.

Oregon State football is less than three weeks from its September 5 season opener, and head coach Jermarcus Shepard says the Beavers are beginning to come together. Following a weekend scrimmage, Shepard praised his team’s intensity and growth, saying the program is focused on daily improvement and consistency. Shepard said the Beavers’ quarterback competition remains a tight three-man race, with Maalik Murphy, Brady Jones and Braden Atkinson all still in contention for the starting job as preseason camp continues in Corvallis.
