STORRS, Conn. (AP) – Freshman Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis scored 25
points and Bria Hartley added 18 as No. 4 Connecticut extended its
record home winning streak to 85 last night with a 112-53 rout of
Pacific. Four other players scored in double figures for the
Huskies, who have won 118 of their last 120 games at Gampel
Pavilion. UConn shot 71 percent and led 68-25 at halftime, tying a
school record for points in a half. Pacific fell to 0-2.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Chehales Tapscott hit a short jump-hook in
the lane with 4.9 seconds left to give Portland State a
come-from-behind 66-65 win over Seattle University last night.
Charles Odum led Portland State with 17 points while Nate Lozeau
had 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Vikings. Tapscott also had a
double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Portland State shot
43 percent overall and held Seattle to 38 percent shooting.

CHENEY, Wash. (AP) – Collin Chiverton scored 25 points and coach
Jim Hayford earned his first win at Eastern Washington, a 70-61
victory over South Dakota last night. Cliff Ederaine added 15
points and 14 rebounds for the Eagles, who pulled away late in the
first half. Charlie Westbrook scored 16 points and Brandon Bos 10
for the Coyotes. Ederaine made all six of his shot attempts and
added five assists for Eastern Washington.

NEW YORK (AP) – Retiring Seattle Sounders star Kasey Keller has
been voted Major League Soccer’s goalkeeper of the year. The
41-year-old from Olympia, Wash., led MLS goalkeepers with 18 wins
and 76 percent of shots saved, and he had nine shutouts. He
received 73.97 percent of voting by media, players and club
officials announced Monday, with the percentage of each group
totaled. Philadelphia’s Faryd Mondragon was second at 49.75.
