The Siuslaw Vikings Swept the Brookings-Harbor Bruins Friday in both halves of a Far West League double header Friday afternoon to move within one game of the South Umpqua Lancers.

In game one Jake Thompson struck out 11 and allowed only one hit and Siuslaw held on for the 3-1 win.  In the nightcap, Brookings took a one-run lead on a 7th inning rally, but in the bottom half of the frame Sam Johnson scored on a throwing error to tie it up, then Josh Iabichello drilled an RBI single up the middle to score Alex Snow for the 5-4 win.

The Vikings will watch what happens this afternoon in South Umpqua as the league-leading Lancers host North Bend for a rain-delayed double-header.  Siuslaw will host North Bend tomorrow.
