Here is the latest Washington, Oregon and Alaska sports news from The Associated Press

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) – Police say five-time world boxing champion Johnny Tapia has been found dead by a family member at his home in Albuquerque, N.M. Police spokesman Robert Gibbs says authorities were called to the house yesterday evening. The 45-year-old Tapia won five championships in three weight classes. Tapia was hospitalized for three days in 2007 after an apparent cocaine overdose.

SEATTLE (AP) – Kendrys Morales had three hits, including a home run, scored twice and drove in two runs to help the Los Angeles Angels complete their first four-game road sweep of the Seattle Mariners in 27 years. The Angels topped the marines 4-2 yesterday. C.J. Wilson earned the win, allowing two hits and one run before leaving after six innings.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) – Maya Moore scored 19 points, shooting 5 for 7 on 3-pointers, and the defending champion Minnesota Lynx kept rolling with an 84-71 victory over the Seattle Storm. Minnesota set a team record yesterday with its 10th straight win dating to last season including a sweep of the WNBA finals. Seimone Augustus, the league’s second-leading scorer entering the day at 22 points per game, added 10 points and six assists.

CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) – Kavin Keyes and Michael Conforto each drove in two runs and Oregon State defeated Oregon 5-0 to complete a three-game sweep of the Ducks in the regular season’s final series. Taylor Starr allowed seven hits yesterday in 6 1/3 shutout innings for the Beavers. The Ducks got word before the game that PK Park will host an NCAA regional next weekend.

BOULDER, Colo. (AP) – Until they assemble on the starting line at the Olympic trials in Eugene, Ore., they’re colleagues instead of competitors – three runners trying to take back a title the Americans haven’t won in six years. Deena Kastor, Magdalena Lewy Boulet and Janet Cherobon-Bawcom join forces for the international team challenge on Memorial Day at the Bolder Boulder. They will attempt to hold off a powerful Ethiopian squad that’s won the team competition four of the last five years.
