The Eugene Emeralds tied the score in the bottom of the ninth last night, then capitalized on a ‘walk-off-walk’ in the 11th for a 4-3 Northwest League win at home over the Tri City Dust Devils. Michael Wolford came in to hold things for the Devils in the final frame but gave up one hit and walked three… including a bases loaded pass to Maxx Tissenbaum to score Stephen Carmon for the winning run.
The Emeralds maintain pace two games behind Vancouver in the West Division of the Northwest League… the Canadians also won on a ‘walk-off’ sacrifice fly last night.
The Emeralds and Dust Devils meet this evening for the fifth and final game of their series; then the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes arrive in Eugene tomorrow for the first of three.
