LANDOVER, Md. (AP) – The Seattle Seahawks finally won a road playoff game yesterday, taking a 24-14 NFC wild-card victory over the Washington Redskins, who lost Robert Griffin III to another knee injury in the fourth quarter. Marshawn Lynch ran for 132 yards, and Russell Wilson completed 15 of 26 passes for 187 yards and ran eight times for 67 yards for the Seahawks, who broke an eight-game postseason losing streak away from home. Seattle will visit the top-seeded Atlanta Falcons next Sunday.

UNDATED (AP) – A person with knowledge of the decision confirms that Chip Kelly is passing up a chance to coach in the NFL to remain with the Ducks. The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because Oregon and Kelly haven’t formally announced the decision. The decision was first reported by ESPN. Kelly had lengthy interviews this weekend with the Cleveland Browns and Philadelphia Eagles, and also talked to the Buffalo Bills. Last year, he talked with Tampa Bay.

CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) – Damyean Dotson scored 21 points and Oregon used a 9-0 second-half run to hold off rival Oregon State 79-66 last night in the Pac-12 Conference opener for both teams. E.J. Singler added 15 points and nine rebounds for the Ducks. Ahmad Starks had 22 points, and Roberto Nelson 18 for Oregon State. Dotson, a freshman guard, scored seven points in Oregon’s 15-2 run to open the second half, helping the Ducks turn the tide and take a 43-36 lead.

CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) – Alyssia Brewer scored 15 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead No. 16 UCLA over Oregon State 68-64 yesterday. Brewer was 7 of 13 from the field for the Bruins. Atonye Nyingifa scored 14 points and Markel Walker had 13. Oregon State led 34-29 at halftime. Oregon State shot 40.6 percent from the field for the game, while UCLA shot 37 percent. But the Beavers had 24 turnovers. Ali Gibson led Oregon State with 15 points, and Jamie Weisner had 13 points.
