STANFORD, Calif. (AP) – Josh Huestis hit a key basket among his 16 points and then made a key block in the final minute as Stanford held off Oregon State 81-73 yesterday. Chasson Randle scored 20 points for the Cardinal, who have won three in a row and five of their last seven. Dwight Powell added 14 points and John Gage scored 12. Huestis, who also had 13 rebounds, blocked a shot by Devon Collier that helped Stanford stop the Beavers. Oregon State’s Joe Burton has 17 points and 10 boards.

CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) – Chiney Ogwumike (ah-GWOO’-mih-kay) posted her sixth straight double-double with a career-high 32 points and 18 rebounds to lead No. 4 Stanford to a 65-45 win over Oregon State. Amber Orrange and Bonnie Samuelson – who hit four 3-pointers – added 12 points each for the Cardinal. Jamie Weisner scored 13 points for the Beavers, who trailed by as many as 16 in the first half but closed to within nine points when Ali Gibson started the second half with a reverse layup.

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) – Layshia Clarendon scored 15, Gennifer Brandon and Talia Caldwell each had double-doubles as No. 6 California cruised 72-45 over Oregon. Caldwell had 14 points and 14 rebounds, and Brandon had 14 points and 12 rebounds for the Golden Bears, who maintained their tie with No. 4 Stanford atop the league standings. Brittany Boyd also had 13 points and eight assists for Cal. Devyn Galland scored 11 to lead the Ducks, who were dominated inside, giving up 44 points in the paint.

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) – Talia Walton had 26 points and nine rebounds and Washington won its sixth in a row, defeating Arizona State 74-61. Jazmine Davis had 16 points and seven assists for the Huskies, Kristi Kingma scored 14 points and Mercedes Wetmore had 11 points. Walton had six of the Huskies’ 15 3-pointers that helped them overcome the Sun Devils’ 55-29 rebounding advantage. Washington trailed 37-29 early in the second half, but a 15-2 run put the Huskies ahead to stay.

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) – Lia Galdeira had 21 points and seven steals yesterday to lead Washington State to a 60-50 win over Arizona. Taylor Edmondson scored 10 points and Mariah Cooks grabbed 10 rebounds for the Cougars, who have won three in a row. Shalie Dheensaw had six points, nine rebounds and five blocked shots for Washington State, which ran off 19 straight points in one stretch in the second half. The Wildcats led 27-26 at halftime, but lost their fifth in a row.
