Churchill dominated the boys’ end of things and Marshfield claimed the win for the girls at a four way track and field meet in Coos Bay. Ashlee Cole was a double-winner for Siuslaw, taking the discus with a throw of 106-07; the javelin with a toss of 123-04. Hayden Schaffner was also a double winner, taking the 3-thousand in 9:23.91 and as a member of the 4×400 relay team of Matthew Campbell, Seth Campbell and Mack Marbas… they won in 3:32.66.
Siuslaw athletes dominated in the 15-hundred as the trio of Matthew Campbell, Marbas and Mitchell Butler went 1-2-3.
Other individual winners… Joseph Dotson won the 300-hurdles in 42.84; Katy Potter won the girls’ 800 with a time of 2:28.9 and Katelyn Wells took the 3-thousand in 11:36.52.
Mapleton’s Tucker Ford won the boys’ high jump, clearing 5-feet, 9-inches, at the Crow Cinder Classic yesterday. Raven Bowman won the 15-hundred with a time of 6:41.18
Redhawks Down Ducks
On the diamond, number 11 ranked Oregon fell to the Seattle Redhawks 3-2 in a non-conference matchup in Bellevue, Washington. Mitchell Tolman drove in Oregon’s two runs, bringing his two-day total to 9 RBI. The Ducks continue their five-game road trip when they open a three-game Pac-12 series at Washington State tomorrow.
