PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – A power outage at some TriMet substations is causing delays this morning on MAX train lines and the Portland streetcar. Spokeswoman Roberta Altstadt told KATU it’s unclear what caused the outage but technicians are working to restore power as soon as possible.
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – A Camas man operating a riding lawnmower struck his 18-month old grandchild yesterday afternoon, severely injuring the child. The toddler was taken to a Portland hospital. The Clark County sheriff’s office says the child’s left leg was amputated by the accident.
SALEM, Ore. (AP) – Salem police are looking for the driver of a car that struck a tow truck driver last night. Police say the driver was loading a vehicle and had emergency lights activated when he was knocked down. Medics took him to Salem Hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
POTLAND, Ore. (AP) – The Portland Timbers say veteran defender Mikael Silvestre is out six to nine months because of a left knee injury. Silvestre tore his anterior cruciate ligament Thursday during a scoreless draw against the New England Revolution.
