SEATTLE (AP) – The San Diego Padres have reinstated catcher Yasmani Grandal from the restricted list after he missed the first 50 games of the season because of a suspension for a positive testosterone test. The Padres made the move official yesterday before completing a two-game series in Seattle.

RENTON, Wash. (AP) – The latest suspension of a Seahawks player for using performance-enhancing substances has sparked a team-wide discussion. Seattle safety Kam Chancellor said yesterday a number of players spoke during a half-hour talk about how they all need to be individually accountable and stop making mistakes. Seattle has seen five players suspended since 2011 for using PEDs.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) – Nike is officially cutting ties with Lance Armstrongs’ Livestrong foundation. The breakup was announced yesterday by Livestrong officials. Nike, which helped build the cancer charity into a global brand and introduced its familiar yellow wristband, will stop making Livestrong apparel after 2013.
