The Three Rivers Sandblasters swept Roseburg’s Premier Insurance in four games over the weekend…  Three Rivers came out on top in both halves of a Friday double-header 4-2 and 16-3.  Ryan Smith was three-for-four on the day with two home runs, a triple, four runs scored and five RBI… plus, he picked up the win on the mound in game two.

Saturday’s double header was cut short in the second game when Premier’s Cooper Thorp took a ground ball to the face, severely injuring the infielder.  Due to the injury, both teams opted to call the game with the Sand Blasters ahead 17-nothing.  Travis Gallagher went the distance on the mound in game one for the ‘Blasters striking out 9 and giving up only two hits for the 5-1 win.
