Viking Volleyball Wins Opener
Katrina Greenfield had six kills; Elyssa Rose and Trista Lane had four each; and the Siuslaw Vikings used a balanced offensive attack to down the Brookings-Harbor Bruins 3-1 in the Far West League Volleyball opener for both teams. In other Far West contests… North Bend beat Sutherlin 3-1 and Marshfield downed Douglas 3-nothing. South Umpqua fell to North Valley 3-1 in a non-league game.
