GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) – Russell Wilson threw for three touchdowns, Marshawn Lynch rushed for 91 yards and the Seattle Seahawks beat the Arizona Cardinals 34-22 last night. The Seahawks intercepted two of Carson Palmer’s passes, converting both into touchdowns, and sacked him seven times. Arizona got a touchdown and one of its three field goals after Wilson twice fumbled while being sacked deep in Seattle territory.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) – Roberto Luongo made 25 saves and the Vancouver Canucks shut out the Buffalo Sabres 3-0 last night. Brad Richardson, Chris Higgins and Ryan Stanton scored for the Canucks, who are off to their best start since opening 2005 at 6-1-1. Luongo was tested with 11 shots in the third period before finishing his first shutout since Feb. 22 at Nashville. The Sabres remain winless at home this season.

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) – Defensive ends Calais Campbell of Arizona and Chris Clemons of Seattle were active for last night’s game. Both had been listed as questionable. Campbell was strapped down and carted off the field in San Francisco on Sunday with what Arizona coach Bruce Arians said was a bruised spine. Clemons did not practice Monday and Tuesday and was limited Wednesday with an elbow injury.

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) – One of the most notable numbers in Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota’s stat line is 0. That’s the number of interceptions he has thrown in the first half of the season. The sophomore who has become a top contender for the Heisman Trophy hasn’t had an interception in 233 attempts dating to last year, an ongoing Pac-12 record. Overall, Mariota has completed 100 passes for 1,724 yards and 17 touchdowns for second-ranked Oregon this season.

FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP) – Representatives from five nations will be in Fairbanks this week to get updates on the 2014 Arctic Winter Games. Those attending the three-day meeting, which started yesterday, represent the Arctic Winter Games International Committee and Chefs de Mission. They will come from Alaska, Greenland, Russia, Sweden and five Canadian territories.
