Pete Lahte smacked an extra inning-walkoff-RBI single in the bottom of the eighth inning last night in Florence, giving the Three Rivers Sandblasters a 4-3 win in the nightcap of a double-header against the Withnell Dodgers. Lahte was three-for-four at the plate in that game; Connor Qualley collected the win on the mound in relief.
The opener went an extra inning as well, but it ended with the Dodgers on top 18-11. Tyler Dordan was five-for-six at the plate, including an RBI double in the bottom of the eighth inning that gave the ‘Blasters a temporary lead.
Three Rivers will be at the Papa’s Pizza Fourth of July Tournament through the weekend in Eugene.
