Taking a look at Coast Radio Sports…
Pac-12 football programs hit the practice field yesterday for the first so-called ‘fall’ practices.
In Corvallis, all eyes are on quarterback Sean Mannion who set a Pac-12 season record last year for passing yards with 4,662. He also connected on an Oregon State best 37 touchdown passes, third most for a single season in conference history.
In Eugene, the eyes are on returning quarterback Marcus Mariota; one major reason the Ducks are picked to finish on top of the conference.
Both teams open the season Saturday, August 30th. The Beavers at home against Portland State; The Ducks against South Dakota at Autzen Stadium.

The top 50 prospects from the Northwest League are in Eugene this evening for the Single-A Short Season All Star Game at PK Park. The Eugene Emeralds are lending seven players to the South Division squad. All teams will be off again tomorrow, then regular season play resumes Thursday.
