SEATTLE (AP) – Isiah Umipig hit seven 3-pointers and finished with a season-high 33 points to help Seattle beat UC Davis 76-67 last night. Umipig was 11 of 21 from the field, including 7 of 15 from beyond the arc, and also dished out six assists. Jarell Flora scored 15 points and made 4 of 6 from long range, and William Powell added 13 points for Seattle (7-6).
CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) – Gary Payton II had 14 points, nine rebounds and five steals to lead Oregon State past UC Santa Barbara 76-64 last night. The Beavers (9-3) had six players score in double figures, including Jarmal Reid with 16 points and Olaf Schaftenaar with 14. Alan Williams had 16 points and 12 rebounds and Michael Bryson added 16 for the Gauchos (5-7).
SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) – Jannik Hansen scored in the second period, immediately after leaving the penalty box for an illegal hit to the head, and the Vancouver Canucks snapped a four-game road losing streak by beating the San Jose Sharks 3-1 last night. Bo Horvat and Radim Vrbata also scored for the Canucks, who have won their last three games in San Jose.
