Lackluster offensive performance at PK Park
Three Boise pitchers limited Eugene batters to just four hits last night and the Hawks claimed their second win in the three game series last night, 5-1.
The Emeralds were in danger of being shut out until an Alex Bautista home run over the left field wall at PK Park with one out in the bottom of the ninth.
Andrew Ely, recently added to the Emeralds’ roster as an infielder, provided two of Eugene’s other three hits.
Following the loss, the team got on a bus for an overnight ride to Spokane where they’ll begin a five game series against the Indians tonight.
