HONOLULU (AP) – Buddy Hield scored 25 points as No. 3 Oklahoma cruised to an 88-60 win over Washington State in a quarterfinal-round game of the Diamond Head Classic last night. Oklahoma shot 56.7 percent (17 of 30) from the field in the second half and 50 percent (31 of 62) for the game. Ike Iroegbu and Josh Hawkinson scored 16 points apiece for Washington State.

SEATTLE (AP) – Andrew Andrews scored 18 points to lead the University of Washington to a 79-68 home win against Seattle University last night. Marquese Chriss added 16 points, David Crisp scored 13 and Noah Dickerson and Malik Dime each had 10 for the Huskies, who have won five of their last six games.

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (AP) – Jaylin Arlington scored 15 points with three 3-pointers, Damiyne Durham added 14 with four 3s, and CS Bakersfield beat Portland State 78-66 last night, handing the Vikings their fifth straight loss. Aly Ahmed scored 13 points, Kevin Mays added 12 for the Roadrunners (8-4). Cameron Forte led Portland State (3-7) with 14 points, Isaiah Pineiro added 12, and Caleen Robinson 10.

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) – Daniel Sedin scored the go-ahead goal in the third period, Jacob Markstrom made 26 saves and the road-weary Vancouver Canucks beat the Tampa Bay Lightning 2-1 last night. Sven Baertschi also scored for the Canucks, who finished their road trip 2-3-1. Vancouver, which had one power play, allowed just one goal on 10 short-handed opportunities.
