STANFORD, Calif. (AP) – Lili Thompson scored 24 of her career-high 30 points in the second half as No. 16 Stanford overcame a poor start yesterday to defeat Washington State 69-52. Erica McCall had 11 points and 14 rebounds and Kaylee Johnson had a season-high 19 rebounds to go with seven points for the Cardinal (17-5, 7-3 Pac 12), who improved to 60-0 against the Cougars.

LOS ANGELES (AP) – UCLA built an early 20-point, second-half lead to cruise past Washington State 83-50. Saturday’s victory snapped UCLA’s two-game skid. Isaac Hamilton scored 11 of his 22 points in the final 5 ½ minutes for UCLA. The Bruins (13-9, 4-5 Pac-12) went 24 of 28 from the line in salvaging a split after losing to first-place Washington 86-84 on Thursday.

PHOENIX (AP) – With just four seconds left, Emmanuel Chibuogwu made a layup to lift Seattle to a 59-57 win over Grand Canyon. The loss Saturday night was the Antelopes first in Western Athletic Conference play. The loss knocks Grand Canyon (19-3, 6-1) into a tie with New Mexico State atop the WAC standings. Seattle (10-11, 4-3) climbs to third place behind CS Bakersfield.

LOS ANGELES (AP) -Southern California has avenged an earlier loss with a 98-88 victory over Washington. Nikola Jovanovic scored a season-high 28 points and Jordan McLaughlin added 21 in Southern California’s victory Saturday. The Trojans (17-5, 6-3 Pac-12) led 44-33 at halftime and remained ahead the entire second half. They moved into a tie for second place in the Pac-12 with the win.
