Eugene has now won four straight series
The Emeralds’ Robert Garcia was three-for-four at the plate with a pair of doubles, two RBI and one run scored as Eugene pounded the Hawks with ten hits total for a 5-1 victory Thursday night in Boise. The Hawks managed only four hits on the night… one of them a solo home run in the third inning off the bat of Jacob Bosiokovic (BOSS-koh-vitch).
The Emeralds are back at home tonight where they’ll begin a three game series through Sunday against the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes. Monday they head north to Everett, Washington where they’ll open a five game road trip against the Aqua Sox.
Barn Bash to raise athletic funds
The Siuslaw Athletic Booster Club is headed to the ranch for their annual fund raising auction this year. The first “Barn Bash” is scheduled for August 20th at the King Family Barn on North Fork Road. Tickets for the dinner and auction are $40 each and are being sold at the Shippin’ Shack, Wind Drift Gallery, and Coastal Fitness. Organizers say there will be plenty of parking available, but for those who don’t wish to drive there will be a free shuttle running between Three Rivers Casino and the barn.
