Siuslaw moves into first place in Far West
With a little help from the Pirates, the Siuslaw Vikings moved into sole possession of first place in the Far West League volleyball standings last night with win over the Brookings-Harbor Bruins. The Vikings dominated with Elyssa Rose and Makenzie York each recording eight kills. The swept the bruins 25-14; 25-12; and 25-16.
The Pirates helped out by sweeping North Bend in three sets. Marshfield, North Bend and Douglas… who also came away with a win over South Umpqua… all have 2-1 records and are tied for second place. The Vikings are at the top with a 3-0 record.
The Vikings host the Douglas Trojans tomorrow night.

In Blue River, the McKenzie Eagles swept past the Mapleton Sailors in three sets last night. The Sailors will lost Lowell tomorrow evening.
