SEATTLE (AP) — Washington has signed five players to national letters of intent, inking one of the top recruiting classes in the country for 2017 led by forward Michael Porter Jr. Washington announced a recruiting class that is rated by some recruiting services as being in the top five in the country.

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) — WBO cruiserweight champion Oleksandr Usyk will defend his belt on the undercard of Bernard Hopkins’ farewell fight Dec. 17. Usyk’s promoters announced his bout against South Africa’s Thabiso Mchunu yesterday. Usyk will make his U.S. debut at the Forum before the 51-year-old Hopkins’ bout against Joe Smith Jr.
