Here is the latest Washington, Oregon and Alaska sports news from The Associated Press

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Jameis Winston threw two touchdowns and Tampa Bay’s defense shut down Russell Wilson to beat the Seattle Seahawks yesterday, 14-5. Wilson was 17-of-33 for 151 yards but threw two interceptions. He was also sacked six times.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — James Harden scored 38 points and had 10 assists for a seventh straight double-double and the Houston Rockets downed the Trail Blazers in Portland last night, 130-114. Eric Gordon scored 26 points, including six 3-pointers. CJ McCollum scored 28 points for Portland while Damian Lillard had 27.

UNDATED (AP) — Washington has jumped two spots in the latest AP college football rankings, with the Huskies now holding the No. 4 position. Michigan dropped two spots to fifth after a double-overtime loss to Ohio State. Alabama remains the nation’s top-ranked team.

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — Oregon coach Mark Helfrich is, at least for now, still the team’s coach — but with plenty of swirling speculation about his job security. Helfrich headed out to recruit but did talk with reporters yesterday after Oregon finished its season 4-8. Helfrich says he’ll meet with athletic director Rob Mullens in the coming week.

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (AP) — Jordan Morris scored in the 56th minute and the Seattle Sounders advanced to the MLS Cup — a first for them — by beating the Colorado Rapids 1-0 in the second leg of their Western Conference final. The Sounders will face either Toronto or Montreal on December 10 for the MLS title.

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (AP) — Nigel Williams-Goss scored 18 points but 11th-ranked Gonzaga nearly blew an 18-point lead before the Zags beat No. 21 Iowa State 73-71 at the AdvoCare Invitational tournament. Josh Perkins had 12 points and Przemek Karnowki had 11 points for unbeaten Gonzaga.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Kelsey Plum scored 26 points while Natalie Romeo hit 7 3-pointers and scored 21 for No. 15 Washington in an 83-53 victory over Portland. Darian Slaga had a career-high 24 points to pace Portland, which shot just 18 percent in the first half and less than 30 percent for the game.
