The Stanford Cardinal held Oregon State to just 14 points in the second half to claim a 48-43 victory at the Pac-12 Women’s Tournament in Seattle. The Cardinal wins the conference’s automatic bid into the NCAA tournament… Oregon State, the regular season champion and ranked number six will have to wait until next week to see where they land in the tourney.
Men’s basketball
Civil war basketball… Oregon pulled away in the second half for an 80-59 victory over Oregon State to cap the men’s regular season and claim the Pac-12 championship. Oregon State will face Cal Wednesday afternoon in the Pac-12 Tournament… Oregon will be the number one seed and will play either Stanford or Arizona State Thursday at noon.

College baseball:
Over the weekend… Oregon State swept UC Davis in three games over the weekend. OSU took both halves of a Saturday double header, four-nothing and 14-2 before taking the final game yesterday four-one. The Beavers will host the Portland Pilots tomorrow evening.
At PK Park in Eugene, Oregon won a series opener one-nothing over Mississippi State Friday evening, then the Bulldogs bounced back for a five-four win Saturday. Oregon took the rubber match of the series, six-five yesterday. The Ducks will host UC Davis this evening.
