Lady Viks Victorious At Home

The lady Vikings played their final regular season home game and it was a tough battle with the Douglas Trojans.  Siuslaw won in three tough sets 25-23. 25-23, and 28-26

Mapleton Splits

Mapleton Volleyball lost its first match last night at Lowell High School.  Lowell took the sailors down in three sets but the Sailors vollied back to take  Oak Hill in 3.  25-12, 25-18, and 25-10.  The Mapleton Sailors volleyball team have a dual match tomorrow first they will take on the Mohawk Mustangs. The second match up of the day is against the Lakers, both will play out at Triangle Lake High School.

Prep Football

On the Prep gridiron tonight, the Siuslaw Vikings will take on the Marshfield Pirates.  Airtime from Hans Peterson Memorial Field is 6:45, kick off at Siuslaw High School is at 7 o’clock over Coast Radio Sports…in Mountain West League play it’s Mapleton at home hosting Siletz Valley at 7 o’clock….

Prep Cross Country action Saturday puts Siuslaw on the road for the Paul Mariman Invitational at Philomath High School.

College Gridiron

Collegiate football Saturday begins with Oregon State in Los Angeles to take on the USC Trojans.  Pregame on KCFM is set for noon, kick off at the Coliseum is at 1 o’clock….

 

A walk-on Sophomore from Missouri will likely start this Saturday for the Ducks.  Linebacker Blake Rugraff walked on the field against Cal last Saturday and finished the game with six tackles.  The third stringer got in the game after Kualana Apelu hurt his ankle Saturday and his backup, A.J Hotchkins was not in pads recovering from an injury of his own.  Rugraff joins third string quarterback, Braxton Burmeister in the starting line-up for Saturdays game against Washington State.  Pregame begins at 3:30 on KCST and kickoff is at 5pm
