An Almost For the Ducks

Washington State Cougars fended off the Ducks last night in Pullman.  It came down to a shot at the buzzer for the Oregon men, but they missed the shot.  This was the third time this season a loss came down to a last second buzzer.  The game was tied at 70 a piece with one minute left in the game, but back to back layups by the Cougars put them up by 4.  The Ducks fought back and had a chance to tie it up on a one and one from the free throw line.  Payton Pritchard made the first but failed to get the second one to go down.  Washington extended the lead on the other end with a free throw.  With four seconds left Pritchard had a chance to tie the game but missed the shot.  The Ducks have one more chance to make the 20 win mark Saturday against the Huskies.

Beavers Mauled by the Huskies

Over in Seattle, the Beavers fought back from an 11 point first half deficit and took a brief lead in the second half, but the Washington Huskies kept the pressure on with a 7 point run.  The Beavers kept on the Huskies heels though and came within 2 at the buzzer.  Final score 79-77.

 

The Oregon schools swap locations and opponents for their final games of the Pac Twelve Season Saturday.  Oregon takes on Washington State in Pullman Saturday afternoon at 1:30, pregame is on KCST at 1 o’clock…. Oregon State is in Seattle tomorrow to take on Washington, pregame on KCFM is 3pm with tip off at 3:30… the men’s Pac Twelve Tournament begins Wednesday, March 7th.

Woman’s PAC 12 Today

The OSU women are on the court this evening to take on the Arizona State Sun Devils.  The Lady Ducks take on the Colorado buffalos in an early game today.

Diamond Match-ups

On the diamond this weekend it’s Oregon taking on Florida Atlantic.  The four games play out on PK Park’s Pond through Monday.  Tonight’s game is set for 6 o’clock.  Oregon State takes on the Hartford Hawks tonight for the first of four games plays out at Goss Stadium’s Coleman field at 5:30,  Saturday’s match up is a double header at 1 o’clock.  The series wraps up Sunday.
