New Rules
While the resumption date for sporting activities at the high school level have not yet been announced, meetings have been ongoing to set some new guidelines for fall sports. Siuslaw Athletic Director Chris Johnson says a consensus was reached by 4A schools regarding final league and conference standing in sports other than football. In a 24 team model, teams will qualify for playoffs that finish in the top three in the league plus the fourth place teams from the five conferences. The final playoff spot goes to the highest ranked team not already qualified.
