Waiting on a Nod
The Oregon Ducks and the Oregon State Beavers are waiting on word from the governor as to when they might be able to bring student athletes on campus to begin preparing for the fall football season. Under the executive order, schools are to remain closed until at least June 12th, but there is a possibility that that date could be moved back ever further. When students are able to return they are required to be covid free and have no known COVID-19 contact for at least 14 days prior to their return. Athletes will be required to be tested and will participate in active contact tracing. That according to Oregon Athletic Director Rob Mullens. No word from OSU as to specific testing, but it is likely under the Pac-12 plan released on Tuesday.
