Pac-12 Players Air Concerns
Oregon and Oregon State have released their 10 game pac-12 schedule. The two teams are slated to meet on October 17th. this year the game will be played in Corvallis. Opening games for both teams is scheduled for the 26th of September, but games are not yet a done deal as Pac-12 players are concerned about the safety of playing games amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. A letter was sent by members of the Pac-12 teams, excluding Colorado, with a list of demands. The group “We Are United” sent a two page letter to Pac-12 commissioner Larry Scott. The demands are wide and varied, but include concerns about the virus and players that may have underlying conditions to their health, as well as social justice concerns. Scott responded to the letter saying the commission is eager to hear more about the demands and is planning on having a dialogue in the coming days with the group. Oregon State’s Jaydon Grant and UofO’s Jevon Holland are representing the Beavers and the Ducks.
