Beavers Get Win One
It was a good weekend for Oregon Football. On Saturday the Oregon State Beavers hosted the Cal Bears at Reser Stadium. The Beavers broke the plain first with a 75 yard run from scrimmage in the first quarter and would score a second time on a 35 yard touchdown pass from Tristan Gebbia to Teagan Quitoriano. For a 14 -7 lead. In the second quarter Cal came back with 2 field goals and a touchdown to lead at the half 20 14. The Beavers inched closer in the third quarter scoring the only points on a 53 yard field goal. They retook the lead in the 4th quarter with the quarterback Gebbia receiving a pass from Tyjon Lindsey for a 24-20 advantage. The bears scored again taking the lead back 27-34. With 4:30 left in the game Gebbia scored the winning touchdown on a 1 yard run and a 31-27 victory.
Ducks Win
The Oregon Ducks were also victorious on Saturday hosting the UCLA bruins. The Ducks and the Bruins switched leads in the first half but Ducks went into halftime with the lead and did not relinquish it the rest of the game. The bruins were driving with seconds left in the game but came up empty on an incomplete pass. The Ducks forced 4 turnovers in the game to remain unbeaten at 3-0. Final score 38-35 Ducks.
