Vikings Play Tough

The Siuslaw Vikings were a minute 12 away from victory when a late touchdown from LaPine gave the hawks the lead.   Siuslaw’s Elijah Blankenship, Brayden Thornton and Camp Lacouture all scored touchdowns in the game and Skyler Loomis tagged on 3 2-point conversions to give the Vikings 24.  Coast Radio announcer Bob Sneddon said the game was a well fought game.  The Hawks won out 26-24.  The Vikings face 3A Champions Santiam Christian this Friday at 7pm.

Sailors Victorious

The Mapleton Sailors were on the field Saturday against Chiloquin.  The Sailors routed the Panthers 52-20…

Ducks Take Season in Pac-12

The Oregon Ducks and the Oregon State Beavers were on the court Sunday, and the Ducks easily handled the Oregon State Beavers taking the contest 80-67 with all 5 starters in double figures.  Senior guard Will Richardson led the field with 22.  The Ducks shot over 57 percent from the field and Richardson was 6 of 7 from 3-point range.  The win put the Ducks as back to back champs in the Pac-12 for the regular season.  The official Pac-12 tournament begins on Thursday.

Stanford Drops Beavers

The Stanford women outgunned the OSU Beavers on Friday to take the Pac-12 title.  The Cardinal handily defeated the beavers 79-45.  The beavers managed only 3 free throws in the game and were a dismal 31% from the field.
