Viking Baseball

It was a tough outing for the Siuslaw Viking baseball squad on Friday.  The Vikings lost 22-7 in the first game against Elmira then the second game of the double header was called for darkness with Elmira leading 13-8.  coach Shinn said it was errors that led to Viking defeat

Viking Softball

Viking softball was also on the field on Friday against Elmira.  The Vikings allowed 16 hits and 13 runs in the first game committing 5 errors.  Elmira won 13-7.  In the second game Elmira had back to back 4 run innings in the 5th and 6th to break away from the Vikings and winning 11-4.

Both Viking baseball and softball will host Marshfield tomorrow.  The Baseball game will air on KCST beginning at 4:45.

Track and Field

Siuslaw Track and Field will be on the field for the first time tomorrow for a Sky-Em league JV Meet.  Events will begin at 3:30

OSU Sweeps Cal

The Oregon State Beavers put up three straight wins over the weekend against the Cal Bears.  It started with a 15-8 win on Friday.  The Beavers won a close one on Saturday 2-1 after trailing 1-zip through 7 and a half innings.  Yesterday the beavers peppered out 8 hits over 8 innings scoring 5 runs to complete the series wins 5-3.

Duck 2 for 3 Against USC

The Oregon Ducks lost their first game against the Trojans on Friday 9-5, but bounced back on Saturday delivering a 13-4 defeat of USC.  Yesterday is was a 4 run 8th inning that sealed the deal and bringing home the 7-5 win.
