Viking Improve to 6-2

Siuslaw Viking boys improved to 6-2 last night as they defeated the Cottage Grove Lions.  Brody Terry started off the scoring on the floor with a 3-pointer and added 4 more in the game.  Terry had 22 points in the victory.  Braydon Thornton added 13 and Liam McClellan had 8

Freudenthal Double/Double

The Viking girls were defeated by Cottage Grove last night 55-20, but Gracie Freudenthal managed a double double with 11 points and 15 rebounds.

The Vikings are home on Saturday and are hosting Marist.  The games will be broadcast on KCST beginning at 1:15 with the girls game beginning at 1:30 and the boys scheduled for 3:00.

Sailors Lose

The Mapleton Sailors had a tough time with Alsea last night.  Coach Eric Wolgamatt said it was a struggle to get the offense going against a hot shooting team. Final score Alsea 47 mapleton 27.  The sailors are 3-3 on the season.

Mapleton Girls results were not immediately available.

College World Series Begins

The Oregon State Beavers and the Oregon Ducks begin play today for the college world series.  The Beavers will be on KCFM at 10:30 against dallas Baptist.  The Ducks are at PK park against Central Connecticut at 2:00
