Athlete of the Week
The Sports Club, the Siuslaw news and Coast Radio Sports congratulate junior Viking wrestler Hayden Muller as this week’s Athlete of the Week. Hayden qualified for the state tournament on Friday with 4 pins out of 5 matches and a third place finish in the OSAA Girls South Regional in Cottage Grove.
Honorable mention goes to Mapleton Senior AJ Moso who led the Sailors in their 49-14 victory over Crow putting up 19 points in the win.
Ems Host Canadians
The Eugene Emeralds are coming off a 6 game win streak and will host Vancouver beginning this evening for another 6 game stand. The last meeting against the Canadians saw a 3-3 split. This series will be at PK Park.
