Ems and Sox
The Eugene Emeralds begin a 6 game stand against the League leading Everett Aqua Sox. The Sox recently overtook the Ems in the High-A West Division and now the two teams will get the chance to battle for the lead. The Ems will host the Sox for 6 games beginning this evening at 7:05 pm. The Ems are currently 1.5 games back.
Thornton in Les Schwab Bowl
Over the weekend Siuslaw Viking Braydon Thornton competed in the 73rd annual Les Schwab Bowl. Thornton had one reception for 9 yards for the South. The South defeated the north 31-8.
Shrine All-Star Game
In August Siuslaw’s Elijah Blankenship and Mapleton’s JJ Neece will be part of the East-West Shrine All-Star game as members of the West team. The 69th addition will be on August 7th in Baker City.
