Outlaws Outlast Vikings
The season has ended for the Siuslaw Viking girls volleyball team. Last night in Sisters the Vikings lost in four sets. The Vikings came out strong but lost the first set 25-23, but the Vikings fought hard in the second and came out on top 19-25. Outlaws came back fighting taking the next two sets 26-24 and 25-20. The Vikings grit showed why their year was a successful one with an overall record of 15-9.

Still left for the Vikings this week is the Playoff matchup on Friday for Viking football as the Vikings host Blanchet Catholic in the first round the state playoffs and the Viking Cross country team will head to LCC in Eugene on Saturday for the 4A state Championships.
Ducks Have Hopes for Championship
The Oregon Ducks are in a good place according to the latest rankings in the College Football Playoff race. Oregon is ranked 4th behind Georgia at the top followed by Alabama and Michigan State. Ohio State, which is ranked higher in the AP rankings comes in behind Oregon. The rankings are subject to change as weekly votes are cast. Oregon heads to Seattle on Saturday to take on the Huskies. Oregon State visits Colorado.
