Vikings vs Marist

The Siuslaw Vikings finally got a game in yesterday.  The Vikings visited Marist Catholic.  The game likely would have ended early as Marist took an 11 run lead into the 4th inning, but the Vikings managed to score two to keep the game going into the 5th inning.  Marist added a run in the 5th to make it 12-2.  Coach Tom Shinn said he decided to not let any pitchers go past the 25 pitch mark knowing that they had a double header on the schedule for today and wanted to make sure he had enough pitching for the games.  The Vikings will face Elmira/Triangle Lake today for a double header beginning at 3pm with coverage on KCST beginning at 2:45.

Athletic Director Chris Johnson says they were looking at making up the Cottage Grove game on Saturday, but there were no officials available to play the game.

There were no results posted for the Viking girls softball game against Cottage Grove.
