Beavers Free Throw Win

The Oregon State Beavers had a tight game against Denver last night at Gill coliseum.   The Beavers shot poorly from the field but made up for it on the free throw line making 19 of 24.  Foul trouble ultimately lost Denver the game with the Beavers only shooting under 35 percent from inside the arc and 26.7 percent from the 3 point range. Glenn Taylor Jr. was the leading scorer for the Beavers with 12.

Duck Women Fall to Ohio St.

No. 3 Ohio State remained undefeated with an 84-67 victory over 16th-ranked Oregon to win the San Diego Invitational. Ohio State is 13-0 for its best start since 2011-2012, when the Buckeyes won their first 15 games. Oregon was led by forward Grace VanSlooten, who scored 29 points on 7-of-9 shooting. Freshman teammate Te-Hina Paopao added 17.

Nix Staying in Duck Uniform

Oregon Duck quarterback Bo Nix says he is not quite ready to give up his spot on the Duck Roster.  There was some indication that the Heisman candidate may move to the NFL Draft but he eased those concerns on Sunday when he told reporters that he would be back for the 2023 season. Nix said there is no feeling like the one he gets when he steps on the field at Autzen stadium.  Nix passed for 3,388 yards this season with 27 touchdowns and only six interceptions.  His 71.5 pass completion percentage led the Pac-12.  He also had 14 rushing touchdowns which was one behind the single season record held by Marcus Mariota.
