Holiday Bowl Gets Underway
Today is the day for the Holiday Bowl. The Oregon Ducks and the North Carolina Tarheels kickoff at 5 pm. KCST will cover the game beginning at 3 pm today. The Ducks have been practicing in Chula Vista in preparation for the game. The Ducks are 15 point favorites. After practice on Monday the team visited the air craft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln where some of the scenes from Top Gun Maverick were filmed.
Bandon Dunes Basketball Tournament
The Siuslaw Viking Basketball team will be on the court this afternoon for a tournament at Bandon High School. The Viking Girls are up first at noon and will face North Douglas. The boys follow at 1:30 against Kennedy. Play will continue tomorrow and Friday.
The Mapleton Sailors will play at the tournament as well. The Girls will play Bandon at 6 pm followed by the boys against Bandon at 7:30.
Viking Wrestling
Viking Wrestling will compete tomorrow hosting Elmira, Marshfield and Stayton.
