Vikings Basketball

The Siuslaw Vikings boy’s basketball team defeated Elmira on Friday Night at home.  The Vikings improved to 2-3 in League Play.  Andrew Jensen Norman continues to lead the Viks in scoring with 21 Michael Felkins added 16 for the Vikings in the 51-30 win.

The Viking girls are still winless in league play with Elmira winning Friday night’s battle 45 -18.

The Vikings travel to Pleasant Hill this evening for a double header against the Billies with game time on KCST beginning at 5:45.

Mapleton Basketball

The Mapleton Sailor boys are sitting at 5-4 in league play and they will be at home tomorrow evening against McKenzie.  The game is at 5:15 on KCFM  the girls game will follow at 7.

Mapleton Sailor girls basketball defeated Kennedy on Saturday 36-31.  Sophomore Helen Burruss had 14 for the Sailors

Wrestling

Siuslaw Wrestlers competed at the Bay City Duals over the weekend coming in 8th place overall.

College Hoops

Stanford defeated Oregon on Saturday in Pac-12 basketball 71-64.  The Oregon State Beavers defeated Cal last night 68-48 with three scorers in double figures including 19 from Jordan Pope.  The Ducks will host Colorado on Thursday and the Beavers will host Utah.
