Athlete of the Week
The Sports Club, the Siuslaw News and Coast Radio Sports congratulate senior Siuslaw Viking wrestler Mason Buss as this week’s Athlete of the Week. Mason won the State Championship Wrestling for 3A in the 195 pound weight class by defeating Bryce Chilgren of Harrisburg by a 9-2 decision. Mason finished the season a perfect 32-0.
Honorable Mention goes to another State Champion Wrestler sophomore Macali Lade. Macali was the ladies champion in the 110 pound weight class defeating Julia Towers of Taft by fall. Macali was 33-2 on the season.
Baseball Pre-Season
Oregon Duck baseball will continue on its preseason schedule on Thursday at home against San Diego. The 4 game series will complete on March 5th.
The Oregon State Beavers are headed to San Luis Obispo California to take on Cal poly from Thursday through Sunday.
