Late Run Saves Game for Vikings

Viking Baseball coach Tom Shinn said yesterday’s 13-12 win over Creswell was an exciting game that showed how much composure the team had that kept them fighting.  The Vikings were down 12-7 in the seventh inning when the Viks surged.  Andrew Jensen-Norman hit a double late in the top of the inning to drive two runners across the plate giving the Vikings the lead.  Freshman Zak Nilles finished in relief for the team giving them the win.  Shinn says he would still like to see fewer errors from the team.  The Vikings host Creswell here on Friday.

Lady Vikings

The Lady Vikings were not as fortunate taking a loss at Creswell 14-4. Ladies double header against Creswell has been rescheduled for today at 2 pm.

Viking Golf

Viking Golf is headed to Bandon tomorrow with play beginning at 11am.  Tomorrow is also the day for the Siuslaw Icebreaker Track and field event.  That begins at 4pm at Hans Petersen Field.
